In the USA – or, to be more precise, in Ocala – Richard Vogel won a 1.45-metre show jumping class with Viva las Vegas W by Vagabond de la Pomme-Cancara (Matthias Wittke, Marienheide), line 318D2. The grey mare has been in training with Richard Vogel and Sophie Hinners for some time now; she enjoyed success at the National Championships in Warendorf, triumphed in the Leipzig Youngster Tour and is now nine years old.
The former Holstein State Champion, Inside of my Heart, also placed in this class. The daughter of Crumble out of a Cassini I dam (Thomas Voß, Schülp), line 2065, finished fourth. She began her competitive career in Schleswig-Holstein under Philipp Battermann-Voß, went on to become the State Champion for seven-year-old show jumpers in Elmshorn in 2023, and then embarked on her international career. In Ocala, she competed with her current rider, Mario Deslauriers (CAN).
In Oliva Nova (ESP), the Vigo d’Arsouilles son Vestari (dam: Cassini I), line 8915, took fourth place in a 1.50-metre show jumping class. Michal Szadkowski from Poland is responsible for his breeding, and Krzysztof Ludwiczak (POL) is now in the saddle of the grey, who already boasts several internationally successful half-siblings.
With Haquinsa by Sandro Boy-Quintero, line 104A, Jérôme Guéry (BEL) has another talented Holsteiner in his stable following Quel Homme de Hus: Riding the mare bred by Tobias Kälberer (Hattenhofen), the Belgian won a 1.50-metre show jumping competition in Oliva.
Coolio by Casalito-Quidam de Revel (Martina Wirtz, Hohenzieritz) and Marcus Ehning (GER) secured an excellent fourth place in the Grand Prix of Doha. The pair had also finished seventh in the second Global Champions Tour class.
