Team Germany won the League of Nations Nations Cup in Ocala (USA): André Thieme, Christian Kukuk, as well as Rene Dittmer and Richard Vogel, riding their two Holsteiners, celebrated the victory alongside national coach Otto Becker.
Rene Dittmer rode Corsica X by Connor-Corofino II (Erich Westphal, Stipsdorf), line 4564, whilst Richard Vogel rode his Casall son Cloudio (MV. Cassini I), bred by Heike Arendt (Sollwitt), line 5889.
Richard Vogel also claimed victory in the Grand Prix with a Holsteiner. This time, he had saddled Cardentos by Cardento-Quo Vados I (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), line 776. It was only at the start of February that Vogel recorded his first international 1.35-metre victory, followed a few weeks later by a win at 5* level.
Conner Jei and Martin Fuchs added around 70,000 euros to their career prize money and bank balances respectively. The Connor-Cosimo son (Gerhard Stamer, Duvensee), line 8778, and his rider returned home from Paris (FRA) having finished second over 1.60 metres.
Reimer Detlef Hennings is the breeder of Can Hope by Cascadello I-Lord Z (line 425), whom Harm Lahde rode to fourth place in a 1.50-metre class in Vejer de la Frontera (ESP).
