In many places, riders have kicked off the indoor season, whilst others are extending their outdoor season – for example, in southern Europe – and once again, Holstein horses from all over the world have secured numerous successes for their riders, breeders and owners.
In Herning (DEN), Catwalk by Comme il faut-Calido I (Reimer Hedt, Hohenaspe), line 4294, and Thore Stieper (GER) celebrated a successful start to the indoor season: The pair took second place in a 1.45-metre show jumping class. This season, their achievements have included an eighth-place finish in the final of the German National Championships for seven-year-olds and a start at the World Championships for Young Show Jumpers in Lanaken.
In another 1.45-metre jumping class at this Danish show, it was Stenvangs Daiquiri by Helenenhof’s Catoo-Clarimo (Theresa Dueholm Petersen/DEN) and Christian Jansen (DEN) who took the bronze.
Maximilian Lill (GER) rode the licensed stallion Kiritan by Kannan-For Ever Jump (Kai Gerken, Lasbek), line 4705, in the 1.50-metre Grand Prix at Oliva Nova. After a clear round, they kept all the poles down in the jump-off as well and the pair finished sixth.
Robinson by Casall-Cassiano (Monika-Agnes Petersen, Neukirch), line 1752, and Felipe Amaral (BRA) secured silver in the 1.55-metre Grand Prix at Vejer de la Frontera in Spain. The chestnut first entered the sport in Germany under Lars Bak Andersen (DEN).
Fifth place in the qualifier and third place in the Grand Prix at Mill Spring/Tryon (USA) rounded off the weekend’s results for Carissimo (Sport a Media S.R.0./SLO), line 2666, a son of Cascadello I and Clinton I, and Aaron Vale (USA). Among other achievements this season, the gelding took silver in the Grand Prix events at Lexington (USA) and San Juan Capistrano (USA).
