Last weekend, Arne van Heel (NED) and Keaton HV by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wesselburen), line 4847, travelled to the National Championships in Deurne, the Netherlands. In both the second and third qualifying rounds, over 1.50 metres and 1.60 metres respectively, the pair rode clear rounds and finished third in each. In the overall standings, Keaton HV and Arne van Heel thus finished fifth at the Dutch Championships.
At the five-star competition in Fontainebleau (FRA), Martin Fuchs (SUI) and his trusted horse Conner JEI by Connor-Cosimo (Gerhard Stamer, Duvensee), line 8778, added another top placing to their long list of successes when they took second place in the 1.60-metre Grand Prix.
Eventing
Meanwhile, in Lexington (USA), the elite of the eventing world gathered for a CCI5*-L competition at Kentucky Horse Park. Here, four Holsteiners finished in the top 10. Victory went to Diabolo by Diarado-Aljano (Fritz Waschmann, Wrohe), line 890, and William Coleman (USA). Fourth place went to Vitali by Contender-Heraldik xx (Günther Fielmann, Schierensee), line 3317, and Tim Price (NZL). Sixth place was secured by Commando by Connor-Amigo xx (Joachim Siebke, Thumby), line 268, and Boyd Martin. And tenth place went to Corvett by Corrido-Clearway (Doris Schimmer, Weddingstedt), line 4025, with Emily Hamel (USA) in the saddle.
