Holsteiner Results: the Netherlands, Spain & Italy – where the Holsteiners ...

At the Grand Prix of Maastricht in the Netherlands, two Holsteiners managed to finish in the top ten: one was Chicago by Cascadello I–Corrado I (Dr Konrad Bartjen, Wacken), line 6372, who came fifth. In the saddle was the Irish rider Denis Lynch; previously, Kai Ruggaber (GER) and Piergiorgi Bucci (ITA) had ridden the grey, who is by the same dam as the licensed 1.60-metre show jumper Casillas van de Helle. The other was Coolio with Marcus Ehning. The Casalito-Quidam de Revel son (Martina Wirtz, Hohenzieritz), line 2067, finished eighth.

Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann successfully debuted her new addition in Oliva under the Spanish sun: My Lady Lavista by Mylord Carthago–Levisto represents line 7369 and was bred by Klaus-Peter Wiepert from Neuratjensdorf. Ridden by Conor Swail (IRL), the grey mare enjoyed success at 1.60-metre level before moving to Meyer-Zimmermann in Pinneberg. The pair now finished third in the 1.45-metre Grand Prix.

In Verona (ITA), Richard Vogel placed his Casall son Cloudio (MV. Cassini I) fifth over 1.60 metres – despite a knockdown in the jump-off. The grey was bred by Heike Arendt (Sollwitt), line 5889. Another Holsteiner followed in sixth place: Tornado VS by Toulon-Contender (Vanessa Schockemöhle, Steinfeld), ridden by Armando Trapote.
