Holsteiner Results: Victories in show jumping and cross-country

At the Global Champions League round in Mexico City (MEX), two Holstein horses shared first place and the Trofeo Banorte, where riders competed for victory and placings in a 1.55-metre show jumping course. They were Cordial by Casall-Chicago Z (Hans-Hermann Gempf, Stelle), line 325, ridden by Denis Lynch (IRL), and Con Quidam RB by Quinar-Cardino (ZG Bröcking, Borken), line 1446, ridden by Sanne Thijssen (NED). Con Quidam RB was also part of the Cannes Stars team that came third in the GCL competition.

Nicolas Gamboa (COL) has no fewer than two promising Holsteiners in his stable for challenging tasks. In the USA – in Katy, Texas, to be precise – he had already won last week and has now taken second place in the 1.50-metre show jumping. He achieved this with NKH Mr. Darcy by Darco-Chepetto (Jiri Mayer/TCH), line 5054. And his other Holsteiner in the running secured bronze: Vittorio S (MV. Rheinsberg) was born at Ursula Schultz’s (Stall Madrigal, Böbs) and represents line 7126.

In Wellington (USA), Cloud, ridden by Hannah Selleck (USA), took third place in a 1.55-metre show jumping class. Breeder Hans-Christian Christiansen, Goldelund, has clearly succeeded in a cross between Clarimo and a Quintero mare from line 8765: Cloud is a full brother to Chewbacca HCC and Pico HCC, who also placed in 1.60-metre competitions.

Quadrosson ASK by Quadros-Carentan, ridden by Radovan Sillo (SVK), finished fifth in a 1.50-metre competition in Arezzo (ITA). The bay horse comes from the stud of Werner Schumacher, Meerbusch, and represents line 1947.

After Kleons Renegade by Quintero-Stakkato (Katrin Kleon, Längenfeld/AUT), line 8768, and Christoph Obernauer (AUT) had spent the winter competing in Spain and successfully continued the year with a victory in the Grand Prix in Gorla Minore, Italy, they have now once again finished seventh in Gorla Minore over 1.50 metres.

Catdaddy by Cascadello I-Quidam de Revel (Gerd Ohlsen, Oevenum), line 95, and Jennifer Pedersen (DEN) have been a well-established team for years. In Kronenberg (NED), they came third in the 1.45-metre Grand Prix.

Eventing
Competition took place at four-star level at the North Holland Horse Trials in Oudkarspel (NED) at the weekend. And this event was dominated by the former Holsteiner Elite Auction horse and World Champion of Young Eventing Horses, Cute Girl by Coventry-Clearway (Hobe Magens, Ottenbüttel), line 308. The mare, who galloped to the World Championship title in 2021 with Kevin McNab (AUS), is now ridden by the American Hallie Coon.
