Particularly at the Global Champions Tour competition in Riesenbeck, but also in Langenhagen and Ascona, Holsteiner horses made headlines with their successes over the past weekend.
At the CSI4* in Ascona (ITA), Cashpaid J&F by Casall-Chicago (Hans-Hermann Gempf, Stelle), stem 325, and Joao Victor Castro Aguiar Gomes de Lima (BRA) secured a podium finish in a 1.55-metre course, taking second place. Once again achieving a top placing was the Uriko son Li La Bo (dam sire Casall) bred by Lothar Steuer, Pansdorf, stem 318D2. Ridden by Elia Simonetti, they finished in fourth place.
Singu by Singulord Joter-Parco xx (Dr. Hansjörg Andresen, Simonsberg), stem 13A, has long been competing in sport under the saddle of Hans Thorben Rüder (GER). At Riesenbeck, as part of the Global Champions Tour leg, the pair won a 1.45-metre show jumping competition. The Casalito-Cosido son Claus (Fedder Feddersen) and Tim Hoster also left the arena victorious in Riesenbeck – they won over 1.50 metres, after Sophie Hinners had led for a long time and Hoster snatched victory away from her as the penultimate starter.
In the Riesenbeck Youngster Tour, a horse decided the final in its favour on home soil. Little Special in Red M by I’m Special de Muze-Calido I was bred by Franz-Gerhard Mühlenbeck and represents stem 6928. Presented by Ludger Beerbaum's rider Cieran Nallon, the chestnut mare, whose dam is a half-sister to the licensed C-Son of Sexy Eyes, jumped to the top position.
Eventing
The outdoor season is slowly coming to an end, but there was no sign of summer fatigue in the three-star competition in Langenhagen (GER): Ris de Talm is by Adagio de Talma-Carvallo BB and was bred by Hans-Niko Hoeck. Antonia Baumgart presented this representative of stem 8626 and was awarded the winner's rosette. Placing in sixth position was another Holsteiner, Checkpoint A by Cormint-Clarimo (ZG Andresen), stem 1907, ridden by Greta Laetizia Tidow.
