At the Global Tour leg in Madrid, Quel Homme de Hus by Quidam de Revel-Candillo (Dr Andreas Kosicki, Berlin), line 4847, rode to fifth place with Jérôme Guéry (BEL) in a 1.50-metre show jumping competition. Cordial by Casall-Chicago Z (Hans-Hermann Gempf, Stelle), line 325, and Denis Lynch (IRL) took second place in the second GCT round. In this class, Tornado VS by Toulon-Contender (Vanessa Schockemöhle, Mühlen) finished fourth under Armando Traporte (ESP).
In Lexington, Kentucky (USA), Dimlingshof’s Casalletto by Cascadello I-Clinton I (Sport a Media S.R.O.), line 2666, won a 1.45-metre show jumping class. The rider was the American Cathleen Driscoll. The stallion is a full brother to Carissimo, who is currently competing in 1.60-metre show jumping with Aaron Vale (USA).
Also successful in the USA this weekend was Grace by Casall-Levisto (Hobe Magens, Ottenbüttel), line 308, ridden by Erynn Ballard (CAN): the grey mare won a 1.45-metre class in North Salem.
At the EEF Nations Cup in Martofte, Denmark, the German team finished sixth. The team also included Hannes Ahlmann and Tokyo, a daughter of Toulon out of a Cassini I dam (Jürgen Böge, Bunsoh), line 7492. Also competing were Carlito H by Comme il faut–Acorado I (Wolfgang Harjes/GER) and Robin Naeve, as well as Carlo by Cassus–For Pleasure (Jürgen Hattebuhr, Winsen), line 7709, and Max Haunhorst. In the 1.55-metre Grand Prix, Grace Ask by Darco de Revel-Contender (Birgit Becker), line 162, a Holsteiner mare, took silver. She was ridden by Sören Moeller Rohde and had previously secured bronze with the Danish team in the Nations Cup.
In Deauville (FRA), Carisma by Casall-Clarimo (Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn), line 776, finished fifth in a 1.45-metre Grand Prix. The mare was ridden by the Brazilian Felipe Amaral.
