She was one of the favourites of Holsteiner Association breeder Arne van Heel at his training and sales stable in Elmshorn, and a few months ago embarked on a long journey to become the property of the Peruvian Alonso Valdez Prado: Ilse by Adagio de Talma-Casall (Bettina and Reimer Haß, Kollmar), line 776.
With four clear rounds out of four, she secured the title of Peruvian Champion for her rider! Alonso Valdez Prado has been a regular visitor to Holstein for years and had another highly promising horse from Elmshorn with him: the former association stallion Emotion (ex. Elmacho) by Eldorado v/d Zeshoek won the national tour for five-year-olds.
These two have also only recently formed a team: Greece by Mylord Carthago-Quinar (Margit Petersen, Sollwitt), line 3401, and Max Kühner. Teike Friedrichsen introduced Greece to international competition, winning, amongst other things, the Grand Prix of Hohen Wieschendorf. Now Max Kühner has ridden her to victory in a 1.55-metre show jumping course in Geneva. Second place also went to a Holsteiner: Quno by Quo Vados–Cash and Carry (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), line 776, ridden by Edouard Schmitz.
Million’s Grey by Million Dollar–Colman was bred by Rita Kuenzli and represents line 579. The stallion won a 1.45-metre show jumping class in Lier, Belgium, with Thomas Ryan from Ireland.
