Once again this weekend, the Holsteiner Verband’s four-legged representatives promoted their association through their international successes around the world. Among them were several former Holsteiner auction horses.
Cassirana del Rilate (Gerd Thomas Grün), line 18B1, by Cassini I out of a Coriano dam, won a 1.45-metre show jumping class in San Giovanni (ITA) with Luca Coata (ITA). She entered the sport in Schleswig-Holstein under the Dutch rider Bart van der Maat and has placed numerous times in the advanced class this year.
Scuderia Quick and Easy is ridden by the Italian Giulia Martinengo Marquet. The mare, by Quick Orion d’Elle-Colman (Raimund Eichert, Ellwangen), line 730B, was unbeatable in the Grand Prix of St Tropez (FRA).
Just last weekend, Charisma HS by v. Uriko-Cassito (Christoph Schmidt, Ober-Mörlen), line 503, and Sergio Alvarez Moya (ESP) emerged victorious in a difficult show jumping competition; now they once again led the lap of honour: In Oliva (ESP), they triumphed over 1.40 metres.
Quadrosson ASK by Quadros-Carentan and Radovan Sillo (SVK) finished third in a 1.50-metre competition in Vilamoura (POR). The bay horse comes from Werner Schumacher’s stud in Meerbusch and belongs to the 1947 line.
Eventing
Eventing competitions of up to four-star level were held in Strzegom, Poland. Third place in the CCI3*-S went to the former Holsteiner auction candidate Fortune III by For Fashion-Arystocrat (Dr Klaus-Peter Gumpert, Grevenkop), line 4025, and the Italian rider Pietro Grandis. The winner of the two-star competition was the former Holsteiner auction horse A Happy Hour: The mare by Adagio de Talma-Connor (Sigrun Günther, Elmshorn), line 3389, was competing internationally at this level for the first time with Anna Siemer and marked her debut with a victory.
