Holsteiner Results: Holsteiner successes in Falsterbo, Valkenswaard and ...

Last weekend, our horses from the land between the seas were once again successful all over the world. In Falsterbo, Sweden, for example, Scuderia 1918 Calle Deluxe by Cesano II-Con Air (Karl-Ernst Kruse-Sönke, Kollmar), line 18B1, took an excellent second place in the 1.60-metre Grand Prix. After competition was suspended there on Saturday due to torrential downpours, the Holsteiner was able to showcase his full potential on Sunday under the Italian rider Giulia Martinengo Marquet.
In the Nations Cup, GK Curacao by Clarimo–Lerano (Manfred Kummetz, Lübeck), line 5401, and Carsten-Otto Nagel competed for Germany and finished second. With two Grand Prix placings, each scoring over 70 per cent, Devanto by De Chirico-Lorentin I (Holger Wesselmann, Hitzhusen), line 49, was also able to make his way home. Ridden by the Swedish rider Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén, the Holsteiner danced his way to second and fourth places.

Holsteiners also secured numerous placings in Valkenswaard (NED). In the Nations Cup Big Tour (1.50 metres), for example, Kleon’s Renegade by Quintero-Stakkato (Katrin Kleon, Austria), line 8768, finished fourth with the team. Christoph Obernauer (AUT) was in the saddle of the Holsteiner. Sixth in this class were Radovan Sillo (SVK) and Quadrosson Ask by Quadros-Carentan (Werner Schuhmacher, Meerbusch), line 1947. Seventh place went to Chicharito by Casalito-Quo Vados I (Karl Heinz Knudsen, Pellworm), line 741, who, together with Adrian Schmid, delivered a double-clear round for the Swiss team. Also as part of the CSI4*, Grace Kelly by Casall-Carthago (Edwin Enzerink, Netherlands), line 318D2, took second place in the 1.55-metre Grand Prix. Riding the mare was Joy Lammers from the Netherlands.
