Holsteiner Results: Outstanding performances in Leipzig

At the ‘Partner Pferd’ World Cup competition in Leipzig, Holsteiner horses impressed over the weekend with some excellent results.

The best Holsteiner pair in the World Cup were the Holsteiner Association stallion Zuccero by Zirocco Blue-Caretino (Hanno Köhncke, Badendorf), line 4539, and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (SWE), who finished sixth after the jump-off. The pair had already impressed with top-ten placings in the opening jumping competition and in the qualifier.

In the final of the Youngster Tour for eight-year-old horses, a son of Dinken – no stranger to the scene – impressed: Dax by Dinken-Corrado I (Dirk Georg Jessen, Jardelund), line 8793, who once jumped to the title of Bundeschampion in Warendorf with Richard Vogel (GER) and subsequently caused a stir in international Youngster Tours under David Will (GER). Last year, he switched to being ridden by the Belgian Pieter Clemens and is continuing his run of success: he won the 1.45-metre final.

In the City of Leipzig Championship, Denis Lynch (IRL) rode Cordial (Hans-Hermann Gempf, Stelle), a son of Casall-Chicago Z, line 325, to sixth place. He has taken over the stallion from Meganne Moisonnier (FRA), who, amongst other things, represented France with him at the European Championships in Milan (ITA) and in the Nations Cup in Aachen (GER).

Derby winner Marvin Jüngel has been part of Richard Vogel, Sophie Hinners and David Will’s team for several months – since then, he has taken over the training of Viva las Vegas W by Vagabond de la Pomme-Cancara (Matthias Wittke, Marienheide), line 318D2. The grey mare had previously enjoyed success with Sophie Hinners, for example at the National Championships in Warendorf. In Leipzig, Viva las Vegas W and Marvin Jüngel won the second qualifier of the Youngster Tour over 1.40 metres.
