Last weekend, the Partner Pferd show in Leipzig was one of the venues hosting international equestrian events. Naturally, a number of Holstein horses and their riders once again caused quite a stir there.
In the opening 1.45-metre show jumping class, all three podium places were taken by Holsteiners. Leading the way was Helene (Christina Fahrenkrug), a daughter of Uriko-Cassini II, with Marvin Jüngel in first place. Second place went to Zensation by Zirocco Blue-Clarimo (Albert Klos) and Denis Lynch, followed by the former Holstein auction horse Vancouver by Vagabond de la Pomme-Cartani (Michael Winstel) and Paula de Boer-Schwarz in third place.
In Ocala, USA, Carissimo by Cascadello I-Clinton I (Sport A Media, SLO-Vinicne), line 2666, and Aaron Vale (USA) to victory in the CSI4* Grand Prix, which carried a prize fund of $200,000. Among other achievements, the pair had won the Grand Prix in Dinard (FRA) last year.
Cayadino by Cayado-Quick Fire (Ulrich Rodde, Strande), line 162, enjoyed great success in competition under Hannes Ahlmann before moving to Ramzy al Duhami (KSA). With him in the saddle, he has now secured fourth place over 1.60 metres in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
The Holsteiner Verband stallion United Way HV by Uriko-Concerto II (Holsteiner Verband, Elmshorn), line 1916, took fourth place in the Grand Prix (1.45 metres) at the international show in Lier, Belgium, with Lucas Wenz.
