Marcus Ehning was in Stockholm (SWE) at the weekend, where he finished fifth in a 1.50-metre show jumping class with Flower Girl by Hickstead-Catoki. The mare was bred by Michal Szadkowski and belongs to line 628B. High Level by Livello-King Milford xx (Jens Hauschildt, Seester), line 95, took sixth place with Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER). The mare is nine years old and has recently enjoyed a number of successes in advanced show jumping, including winning the Grand Prix at the Breitenburg Riding Days and achieving a very good placing in Lichtenvoorde (NED).
In the 1.60-metre Grand Prix, Quel Homme de Hus by Quidam de Revel-Candillo (Dr Andreas Kosicki, Berlin), line 4847, and Jérôme Guéry showed that they have finally returned to top form following a break due to injury: They secured third place with two clear rounds.
The Uriko offspring Unity F was placed fourth in a 1.50-metre jumping class at the Swedish Global Champions Tour event: The gelding’s dam is by Linaro; he was bred by Hans-Hinrich Behrmann and belongs to line 18A2. This was a home success for the Swedish rider Selma Hammarström, who herself introduced the eight-year-old to his first international competitions. Linn Hamann also rode Cool Fox by Colman-Singulord Joter (Jens Ritters, Krumstedt), line 730B, to third place in another 1.50-metre show jumping class. Here, Unity F finished sixth once again.
In Ocala, Florida (USA), the Casall daughter Gucci (sire: Carvallo/dam: S.C. Sofino, BEL), line 1446, won a 1.45-metre show jumping class. Erynn Ballard (CAN) was in the saddle on the mare, who was most recently stabled in Europe at Jana Wargers’ (GER) stable.
