Last weekend, the long-established 5* competition took place in the Piazza di Siena in Rome (ITA). In the 1.60-metre Grand Prix, Richard Vogel and Cloudio by Casall-Cassini I (Heike Arendt, Sollwitt), registration number 5889, took third place, adding €75,000 in prize money to their tally. The pair had already finished third in the qualifier (1.55 metres). In this class, Giulia Martinengo Marquet (ITA) and Scuderia 1918 Calle Deluxe by Cesano II-Con Air (Karl-Ernst Kruse-Sönke, Kollmar), line 18B1, also finished fifth.
At the same time, numerous Holsteiners competed at the DKB Horse Week in Hohen Wieschendorf. Here, Tomma Thiesen and Bert by Brantzau-Casquetto (Jens Ritters, Krumstedt), line 318A2, won a 1.50-metre class. Hannes Ahlmann and Cimarosa by Comme il faut-Cormint (Jürgen Böge, Bunsoh), line 7492, secured another victory for Holstein in a 1.45-metre show jumping class. Cornwell by Cornet Obolensky–Le Matin (Werner Glania, Gevelsberg), line 275, and Lars Vollmer were also victorious in the 1.45-metre class.
