Fiesta van Paemel is the name of an eight-year-old mare by For Pleasure out of Quidam de Revel, bred by Joachim Tietz of Diekhusen. This representative of line 6874 is a half-sister to Johanna Beckmann’s Queen Frieda by Kannan, and Fiesta van Paemel’s third dam was in turn the dam of the legendary Queen Mary by Contendro I, with whom Jan Wernke celebrated numerous successes at 1.60 metres. Fiesta van Paemel has now won a difficult show jumping competition in Opglabbeek (BEL) with Koen Vereecke (BEL).
Ridden by Thomas Brandt, the Casall-Carthago son Castle Creek (Silke Zuba, Wesselburen), line 18A2, finished fourth in a 1.45-metre show jumping competition in Opglabbeek (BEL).
Udo Wagner from Angermünde, who has sadly since passed away, was responsible for breeding the Uriko daughter Grand Zara (MV. Casall), line 8783. The mare entered international competition under the Swiss rider Ariane Muff; she is now enjoying success at 1.50 metres with Thomas Mang. In Ornago (ITA), she won bronze over 1.45 metres.
Coronado is by Cassini I and Acord II and was bred by Karl-Heinz Markussen from Hochviöl; he represents line 8828. Philip McGuane from Ireland rides him, and together the pair took fourth place over 1.45 metres in Wellington (USA). A Holsteiner also took fifth place: Anton by Action-Breaker-Chambertin (ZG Sandkamp), ridden by Gavin Moylan (CAN).
