The former German Champion Charisma HS by Uriko-Cassito (Christoph Schmidt, Ober-Mörlen), line 503, and Richard Vogel continue their winning streak: Having recently excelled in the advanced class at national competitions, they have now also claimed victory in a 1.40-metre show jumping class at the CSI2* in Hagen.
Also in Hagen, the association-owned stallion Million Dollar (BWP) by Plot Blue and Sophie Hinners took second place in the qualifying round for the Bemer Riders Tour. The pair flew through the jump-off course of the 1.50-metre show jumping class at lightning speed and without any faults, adding yet another top international placing to their list of achievements.
In the Bemer Riders Tour qualifying round, Chepmen was the best-placed Holsteiner in seventh place: the bay is a son of Chepetto-Corrado I (Ulrich Meyn), line 95, and was ridden by the Argentine Ezequiel Andres Ferro Menendez.
The international show in Gorla Minore, Italy, proved to be a successful venue for Holsteiners this weekend: Cassandra (Jürgen Hattebuhr, Winsen), a daughter of Casall-Contender from line 318D2, and Federico Ciriesi (ITA) won a 1.45-metre show jumping class. Another Holsteiner horse, Cancun by Canturo-Carthago (Helmut Schäfers, Delbrück), line 242, ridden by Ulrich Kirchhoff (UKR), took second place.
In Wellington, Le Cordial by Lyajanero-Singulord Joter (Detlef Hennings, Bendorf), line 18A2, and Andrzej Optlatek (POL) took silver in a 1.50-metre show jumping class. Last year, the pair enjoyed success at this level in Kronenberg (NED) and Samorin (SVK), amongst other venues.
Dressage
The Horses & Dreams competition is also renowned for top-class dressage: Curiosity by Clinsmann-Carpaccio (Kurt Thomsen, Bunsoh), line 5964, and Antonia Ramel (SWE) finished sixth in the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle with a score of 77.6 per cent.
