Holsteiner Results: Successes in Mexico, Spain and Austria

The association-approved stallion Crack by Cornet Obolensky-Candillo (Campos Cria de Caballos de Deporte/ESP), line 1020, has made a highly successful start to his first overseas competition: In Coapexpan, Mexico, he and Richard Vogel secured victory in a 1.45-metre two-phase show jumping competition. ICloud by Calmando–Clearway (Erja Aholainen, Hollingstedt), line 2269, also finished sixth with Rikke Belinda Barker (DEN).

C-Steffra by Clarimo out of Lavall I (Gerd Carstensen, Hörup), line 242, and Niklaus Schurtenberger took third place in a 1.45-metre show jumping class under the Spanish sun, specifically in Oliva. In 2023, the pair were part of the victorious Swiss team in the Nations Cup at Aachen, amongst other achievements.

A son of Zirocco Blue named Zorba TT (by Clinton I) is one of the rising stars in Belgian trainer Alexander Kumps’ stable. The gelding, bred by Carmen Hinrichsen Bockmeyer, changed hands via a Holstein auction some time ago, was, amongst other things, eligible to compete in this year’s World Championships for Young Show Jumpers and has now finished fifth in the 1.50-metre show jumping class at the World Cup event in Tallinn (EST).

In Wiener Neustadt (AUT), Lord Mexx by Larimar-Coriano (Hans Bock, Quickborn), line 1811, and Angelos Touloupis (GRE) finished fifth in a 1.50-metre course. The pair had most recently won difficult show jumping competitions in Hungary and Slovakia.

Castiel (by Casalito-Clearway) (Hobe Magens, Ottenbüttel), line 8769, and Pius Schwizer (SUI) were unbeatable in a two-phase show jumping competition in St Tropez, France – having previously finished fourth and fifth earlier that weekend.

Eventing
Following a four-star victory in Canberra (AUS), Easy-Turn by Casall-Coriano (Kirsten Roll, Struvenhütten), line 223B, repeated this success just a few weeks later in Bawley Point (AUS). Shane Rose (AUS) was in the saddle on the State Premium mare.
