At the FEI Asian Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, a Holsteiner has won gold: Crack HV by Cornet Obolensky-Candillo (Campos Cria de Caballos de Deporte), line 1020. The grey has been competing under Egor Shchibrik for several months, having most recently been ridden to his first 1.60-metre placings by Holsteiner Association rider Arne van Heel. With Egor Shchibrik, Crack seamlessly continued his sporting success, securing a placing at the Sires of the World show jumping event in Zangersheide, amongst other achievements. Now the pair have secured the gold medal in the individual final of the Asian Championships!
At the five-star show in La Coruña (ESP), two Holsteiners made it into the top ten of the 1.60-metre Grand Prix: Tornado VS by Toulon-Contender (Vanessa Schöckemöhle, Steinfeld), line 8769, and Amado Traporte in sixth place, as well as Chicago by Cascadello I-Corrado I (Dr Konrad Bartjen, Wacken), line 6372, ridden by Denis Lynch, in eighth place.
Christian Schröder from Groß Wittensee is the proud breeder of Macklemore von der Söhr. The gelding is by Manchester van’t Paradijs out of Quiwi Dream and belongs to the Holsteiner line 18B1. Jonte Hansen and Sven Gero Hünicke brought him into competition; under Tomma Thiesen, the eight-year-old went on to secure bronze straight away in his first start at 1.50-metre level in Oliva (ESP).
