In 2024, Sanne Thijssen (NED) can continue to rely on her now 18-year-old star performer, Con Quidam RB: The Quinar Cardino offspring (ZG Bröcking, Borken), line 1446, has been a reliable competition partner for years; last year, for example, he won the highly prize-money Grand Prix in Valkenswaard (NED). Now he has triumphed once again, this time in Vejer de la Frontera (ESP), finishing several seconds ahead of the field.
In Gorla Minore, a Holsteiner mare took second place in the 1.50-metre show jumping class: Chill Ma by Crunch-Alcatraz (Rasmus Lüneburg, Hetlingen), line 8763. In the saddle was Pius Schwizer (SUI), who had taken over Chill Ma from Belgium’s Jérôme Guéry last year.
Cashew CR, ridden by Alex Matz (USA), finished fifth in the 1.60-metre Longines Grand Prix in Ocala, Florida (USA). The gelding is by Cassini II out of Quinar and was bred by Georg Clausen (Rabenkirchen), line 4539.
Dax by Dinken-Corrado I (Dirk Georg Jessen, Jardelund), line 8793, once jumped to the title of Bundeschampion in Warendorf with Richard Vogel (GER) and subsequently caused a stir in international young horse tours under David Will (GER). Last year, he was taken on by the Belgian rider Pieter Clemens and is continuing his run of success with him: in Oliva Nova (ESP), he has now finished fourth over 1.45 metres.
At this show, D-Coroquada I by Contender-Coronado I (Manfred Tummes, Mühlheim), line 4539, secured fifth place in the 1.50-metre show jumping class with Gerrit Nieberg (GER) in the saddle. This mare is the half-sister of Hans-Dieter Dreher’s (GER) current top horse, Elysium.

Devanto by De Chirico-Lorentin I (Holger Wesselmann, Kellinghusen), line 49, and Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén (SWE) are competing at competitions in Wellington during the winter months and once again achieved excellent results in the top class last weekend: fifth place in the Grand Prix and second place in the Grand Prix Freestyle were their final results.
