Last weekend, our horses from the land between the seas once again racked up victories and placings all over the world.
In Rabat, Morocco’s capital, for example, Chicharito by Casalito-Quo Vados I (Karl-Heinz Knudsen, Pellworm), line 741, celebrated several successes. In the Nations Cup, the Holsteiner and Adrian Schmid triumphed with the Swiss team. The pair also took sixth place in a 1.50-metre World Cup show jumping class. At the same competition, Davenport VDL by Diamant de Semilly-Indoctro (Prof. Dr Hartwig Schmidt, Borsfleth), Line 104A, who had enjoyed success under Laura Klaphake (GER) last year, also won a 1.50-metre show jumping class with Khaled Almobty (KSA) in the saddle. Picco HCC by Clarimo-Quintero (Hans-Christian Christiansen, Goldelund), line 8765, and Rikke Belinda Barker (DEN) also secured top placings in the 1.50-metre classes in Rabat.
At the CSI4* in St Tropez, France, Curcuma il Palazzetto by Casall-Lord (Maria Rosaria Marzotto, ITA-Padua), line 7126, competed under Italian championship rider Lorenzo de Luca. The Holsteiner stallion finished fourth in the 1.60-metre Grand Prix.
In the CSI3* event, Holly del Rilate by Q-Verdi-Cassini I (Allevamento Rilate, ITA-Asti), line 18B1, also took fifth place in the 1.50-metre Grand Prix. Luca Coata rode for Italy.
