From Amsterdam to Oliva Nova to Wellington, Holsteiner horses and riders collected international placings at the weekend.
Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann travelled to Oliva Nova, Spain, with her horses a few weeks ago and started the outdoor season. Ridden by the female rider, High Level by Livelllo-King Milford xx (bred by Jens Hauschildt, Seester), damline 95, jumped to fourth place in a 1.50-metre course.
Danish rider Rikke Belinda Barker is in the saddle of Pico HCC (bred by Hans Christian Christiansen, Goldelund). This Clarimo-Quintero son represents damline 8765 and won a 1.45-metre jumping class after a jump-off in Doha (QAT). His dam Wanda produced two further sons successful up to 1.60 metres alongside Pico HCC: Chewbacca HCC and Cloud—both paired with Clarimo.
Also competing in Doha was Rikke Belinda Barker with ICloud by Calmando-Clearway (bred by Erja Aholainen, Hollingstedt), damline 2269, with whom she placed third in another 1.50-metre jumping class. Quel Filou by Quiwi Dream-Lerano (bred by Bernd Mohr, Ellerhoop), damline 1986, and Amelia Douglass (AUS) claimed fourth place.
At the "Jumping Amsterdam" competition (NED), two Holsteiners were placed high in the 1.50-metre course: Coming in fifth place were Casillas van de Helle by Casall-Corrado I (bred by Dr Konrad Bartjen, Wacken), damline 6372, and Kevin Jochems. Quisandro by Quintero-Gaspari I (bred by Hans Jörgen Juhl, Toftlund/DEN), damline 1094, and Sara Vingralkova (CZE) followed in sixth place.
Dressage
In the Grand Prix Kür of the U25 CDI in Amsterdam (NED), the Lorentin I son Liverpool (dam sire Coriander) and Thomas Trischenberger danced to sixth place. The stallion from damline 474A was bred by Ute von Doehren (Moorige).
In Wellington (USA), Devanto by De Chirico-Lorentin I (bred by Holger Wesselmann, Kellinghusen), damline 49, and Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén (SWE) are keeping fit over the winter months and were now successful in the Grand Prix Kür: The pair claimed second place.
