Holsteiner Results: Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam & others

Whilst attention in Holstein was entirely focused on the Association’s stallion presentation last weekend, other horses around the world were promoting the Holsteiner breed through their successes:

In Abu Dhabi, Luca Coata presented an interesting daughter of Cassini I (dam: Coriano). Cassirana del Rilate was bred by Gerd Thomas Grün from Immenstedt and represents line 18B1. She is already the dam of Holly del Rilate by Verdi, who is already competing at 1.60-metre level. She won a difficult show jumping competition in the Emirates, relegating the Casall-Lux son Clou (Nicola Struve, Tarp), line 4965, and David Will to second place.

At the five-star show in Amsterdam (NED), Comthago VDL by Comme il faut-Carthago (Wilhelm Kochs, Eschweiler), line 3697, with Hessel Hoekstra (NED) to fourth place in a 1.50-metre course. Also shining at this competition was the Diarado son Denver (MV. Quantum; Pamela Peters, Bargenstedt), line 2067, who took fifth place in the 1.60-metre show jumping. Michael Greeve (NED) was in the saddle. The black-bay horse had won classes last year in Maastricht (NED) and Riesenbeck (GER), amongst other places.

The Thorsten and Andrea Andresen Breeding Association (Amrum) is responsible for Lorenz’s breeding. The son of Livello and Clarimo competes under Jens Baackmann (GER) and enjoyed success in 2024 at Opglabbeek, amongst other venues. He has now taken third place in the 1.50-metre class at Vejer de la Frontera (ESP).
