With scores of 9.0 and 9.2 in the two rounds of the final Class M show jumping competition – the Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH Prize – Diarmuid Howley established the chestnut stallion Valenzano as the clear winner of his age group. The son of Vagabond de la Pomme-Christian (Kai Wullweber, Todesfelde), line 6582, is owned by Manfred von Allwörden. His Irish rider put him in the spotlight with great skill: “These are exactly the sort of rounds we want to see,” praised the jury. The silver medal in the championship also went to Diarmuid Howley on a horse from Grönwohldhof: Quintino LMK by Quintago-Clearway (Loenie Kock, Hamburg), line 2428, took second place. Third place went to the former Holsteiner auction horse Davis by Diarado-Casall (Timm Peters, Bargenstedt), line 390, with Thibaut Huyvaert in the saddle, who rides for Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.

In the final class, the six-year-old show jumpers demonstrated the qualities they possess for the more challenging tasks as they competed in the M**-class special show jumping class with jump-off – the Grönwohldhof Stud Prize. After receiving a score in the first round, a jump-off followed to decide the winner and placings. Tiepolo by Toulon-Cassini I (Jürgen Böge, Bunsoh), line 7492, completed the jump-off course with Hannes Ahlmann in the saddle as the fastest rider. Second place went to Iowa by Barcley-Cassilano (Hans-Adolf Witthöft, Preetz), line 5167, and Jesse Luther. Carlesta by Casall-Corrado I (Joachim Jürgens, Bollbrügge), line 42B, and Sven Gero Hünicke took third place.
