On Saturday morning, the six-year-old show jumpers competed in their qualifier for the State Championships. Mr. Million by Million Dollar-Cash and Carry (ridden by Jörg Carstensen) took victory in the M* class show jumping competition. The breeder’s daughter, Teike Friedrichsen, rode the gelding to a score of 8.8. Second place (8.7) went to Sunny Boy by Sandro Boy-Connor (Josef Schmid). Simone Heineke presented the Holsteiner. Third place was shared by two horses. One was Manhatten by Clarimo-Quantum (Dörte Gerken) with Jonte Hansen in the saddle, and the other was last year’s state champion, Chavaros II by Charleston Con Air (Reimer Detlef Hennings) with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. Both pairs were awarded a score of 8.6.
The final for six-year-old show jumpers takes place on Sunday at 3.30 pm.
