In Elmshorn, the 2023 Holstein Horse Days have begun with classes for young dressage horses: These included the qualifying competition for the State Championships for five- and six-year-olds – an L-class dressage horse competition – as well as riding horse competitions with qualifiers for the National Championships.
In the Class L dressage horse class, there was a reunion with a young Holsteiner who has already won numerous honours: Last year, Robby Brown by Rock Forever I-Aljetto (ZG Ellerbrock, Kayhude), ridden by Christina Ellendt, won, amongst other things, the bronze medal at the National Championships in Warendorf. Now, in Elmshorn too, he took the lead in the introductory class with an overall score of 8.0. Second place, with a score of 7.6, went to Questore by Quantensprung-Lorentin I (Klaus-Heinrich Petersen, Ahrenviöl) and Jan Lens. Third place went to Caramel by Caracho-Aljano (Sönke Wilhelm Thamling, Kollmar) and Paula de Boer with a score of 7.5.
In the riding horse class for three-year-olds, Nikita by Zackery-Damon (ZG Sudeck, Uetersen) and Roland Metzler topped the podium. The pair achieved an overall score of 8.0. Second place went to Daytona by De Niro Gold-Johnson (Hans-Hermann Gericke, Tönning) and Kathrin Bielfeldt-Wittke with 7.5. The bronze medal went to Nice Girl by Zinedine-Leovisto (Carsten Lauck, Pinneberg) and Stefanie Harms with a score of 7.4.

In the four-year-olds’ class, it was My Romanciera by Fürst Romancier-Aljano (ZG Ellerbrock, Kayhude) and Christina Ellendt who were awarded the winner’s rosette and parade rug following an overall score of 8.1. My Romaciera was highlighted as the dressage-oriented champion mare at the 2022 Association Mare Show. In second place were For Hope K by For Romance-Aljano (Malte Kuhnert, Freienwill) and Aleksandar Dansin with a score of 7.7. Mein ganzes Herz WK by Escolar-Aljano (Wenke Kraus, Rehburg-Loccum) and Sina Aringer took third place with a score of 7.6.
