On Saturday afternoon, the six-year-old show jumpers competed in the qualifying round for the final. 66 young Holsteiners competed against one another in a challenging Class M show jumping class.
In the end, the panel of judges declared two licensed stallions as winners, each with a score of 8.8. One of these was Dunkirk by Dinken-Catoki (Sönke Petersen, Behrendorf), line 741, whom Marten Witt rode to victory with a flawless round. The second winner’s rosette went to Copino VA by Cooper I-Coriano (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), line 5064, ridden by Diarmuid Howley. Things will get exciting again on Sunday at 3.00 pm for the six-year-olds, as their final – a special show jumping class at M** level – is on the programme.
