In Lexington, Kentucky (USA), the Cardenio Contender son of Bull Run, Prince of Peace – bred by Breido Graf zu Rantzau (Breitenburg) – has won a 1.50-metre show jumping class. Riding the representative of line 1446 was his regular rider, Kristen Vanderveen (USA).
Cartier SR by Canturenter-Cassini I (Reimer Detlef-Hennings, Bendorf), line 4705, won a 1.40-metre class in Kronenberg (NED) with Frank Schuttert (NED). At the same show, Casall del Monte by Casall-Calato (Dr Eva-Maria Junkelmann, Helmstorf), line 884, and Torben Köhlbrandt also emerged victorious in a 1.45-metre show jumping class.
In Barcelona, Spain, Callias by Companiero-Casco (Sven and Lothar Völz, Wöhrden), line 730B, rode to victory in the 1.45-metre show jumping class at the two-star competition under Jesus Garmendia Echevarria (ESP).
Con Quidam RB by Quinar-Cardino (ZG Bröcking, Borken), line 1446, ridden by Sanne Thijssen (NED), took an excellent second place in a 1.60-metre show jumping class in Sopot, Poland. The pair have made a name for themselves on numerous occasions in high-prize competitions in the past, securing placings at three- and four-star competitions in places such as Opglabbek (BEL), Gorla Minore (ITA) and Lier (BEL). In the Nations Cup at Sopot (POL), the Casall daughter Chakra, out of a Quidam de Revel dam, took third place with the Irish team under Eoin McMahon. This representative of line 5382 was born at Johann-Peter Laß’s stud in Leck and, in addition to numerous successes in 1–60-metre show jumping, has also been awarded the State Premium.
In Lühmühlen, Carjatan S by Clearway-Galant Vert xx (Carl-Friedrich Söhrmann, Groß Buchwald), line 6788, and Christoph Wahler, head of the Klosterhof Medingen, took a brilliant second place in the five-star class with their dressage score.
