This month, the title "Holsteiner of the Month" is awarded to a horse that has been drawing attention to itself in sport for many years. We are referring to Zaccorado Blue by Zirocco Blue-Acoorado I, bred by Tanja Schramm from Ilmenau.
Zaccorado Blue, who hails from stem 1298, first appeared in public when he left the South German Stallion Days in 2016 as a premium stallion and was sold at the auction there for 80,000 euros. In his early competition appearances, he was initially shown by Tino Bode and Martin Weißbach before Jana Wargers took over the ride and won the bronze medal at the 2019 Bundeschampionat with the typy Holsteiner, among other successes. In the summer of 2021, adoptive Austrian Max Kühner competed in a few competitions with him, and then Zaccorado Blue moved to David Will's stable, where the now eleven-year-old is based to this day. The pair have frequently topped the prize-winning lists, achieving victories in Riyadh (KSA), Aachen, San Siro (ITA), and most recently in Hamburg Klein Flottbek. "We've had Zaccorado with us for a very long time; he is the ribbon pony in our stable. He is extremely versatile. He can do speed classes, but I have also ridden him in several 5-star Grands Prix. He is very careful," David Will says, describing his sport partner.
