He is now 15 years old, has won two medals at international championships and is currently one of the sporting figureheads of the Holstein breed: Quel Homme de Hus by Quidam de Revel-Candillo-Alcatraz, bred by Dr Andreas Kosicki of Berlin. The licensed stallion from line 4847 and Jérôme Guéry returned home from the Tokyo Olympic Games with the team bronze medal for the Belgian squad.

Quel Homme de Hus traces his breeding origins back to the Horns family in Bredenbekshorst. As a two-year-old, his dam, P-Hawaii, was sold to Dr Andreas Kosicki. She has produced five foals there to date, including a son by Casall this year. As a weanling, Quel Homme came into the ownership of the Holsteiner Verband; two years later, he was presented for licensing in Neumünster under the name Quempas. Via the auction for unlicenced stallions, the dark bay moved to Haras de Hus stud in France. At the age of seven, Gilles Botton – who has also trained Conrad de Hus, for example – was in the saddle on the stallion. He was then sold on to Tal Milstein and Haras de Laubry, only to be acquired by Gaëtan Decroix just one year later, with whom he had already enjoyed success in show jumping up to 1.60 metres in 2018.
After Quel Homme de Hus had already attracted attention with his current rider, Jérôme Guéry, by finishing sixth in the Aachen Grand Prix, the European Championships in Rotterdam in 2019 followed. Riding for the Belgian team, the Holsteiner and Guéry won the gold medal, to which they made a significant contribution. With this result, the Belgian team qualified for the Olympic Games in Tokyo. There, Quel Homme completed four courses without a single knockdown and was ultimately rewarded with the bronze medal in the team event.
