This time it is Conner Jei who bears the title of Holsteiner of the Month. Most recently, the Connor-Cosimo son led the lap of honour at the World Cup leg in Bordeaux (FRA) – and has previously claimed numerous major show jumping competitions for himself.
The 14-year-old Holsteiner was born at Gerhard Stamer's in Duvensee. He originates from mare family number 8778. With Franziska Müller and Stephanie Knauf, he collected his first competition successes predominantly in the Rhineland. On national competition arenas, the gelding already stood out back then due to his seemingly boundless scope and his carefulness. In the year 2020, it happened more or less by chance that championship rider Martin Fuchs came across Conner Jei. At the time, the Swiss rider was trying out horses with a client at Jens Wawrauschek's yard in Warstein. On this occasion, the then owner Frank Müller also showed Martin Fuchs the Holsteiner, which until then had been competing at 1.45-metre level. Fuchs test-rode Conner Jei and was impressed by the quality of the horse. And so his sponsor Adolfo Juri initially acquired half of Conner Jei and later secured the Holsteiner completely for Martin Fuchs. The pair's list of victories in 1.60-metre Grands Prix is long: From St. Gallen, via Dublin, Geneva, Brussels, Falsterbo to Dublin and Windsor, as well as recently at the World Cup in Bordeaux, they have already won. Actually, only an appearance at an international championship is missing now…
