The Holsteiner of the Month for March is a horse that has been competing in international show jumping for quite some time. Cordial has already achieved success in classes up to 1.60 metres with various riders before Irishman Dennis Lynch took over the ride a few months ago.
In mid-February, the pair were part of the second-placed Irish team in the newly designed "League of Nations" in Abu Dhabi (UAE). EUR 700,000 in prize money is distributed there. The series is intended to combine the traditions of the past with the excitement of modern sport, according to the organiser. Cordial by Casall-Chicago Z was bred by Hans-Hermann Gempf from Stelle. Before Denis Lynch took over the reins, Cordial paved the way for young French rider Mégane Moissonier into top-level sport over the past few years, competing together in the Nations Cup in Aachen and at the European Championships in Milan, among others.
Cordial originates from Holsteiner stem 325 and was sold in France via an auction in 2012 at the age of three. In Cashpaid J&F, Cordial has a full brother who is successful in sport up to 1.55 metres under young Brazilian rider João Victor Castro Aguiar Gomes De Lima and—like Cordial—is a licensed stallion in France. With Cordial, Dennis Lynch now has another Casall son under the saddle alongside Dark Chocolate.
