Harm Sievers has stepped down from his position as a board member of the Association of Breeders of the Holsteiner Horse with immediate effect.

"This decision was difficult for me," said the native of Tasdorf, who had been elected at the delegates' assembly in March. However, in the current constellation of the board, he does not see the desired opportunities to contribute. The cooperation on the board does not correspond to his ideas of trust and respect. He hopes that his decision will lead to constructive discussions within the association. The chairman of the Holsteiner Verband, Hinrich Romeike, regrets Sievers’ decision: "We are losing a man with extraordinary expertise who will be missed by our board, but I respect his decision. The board remains capable of working and making decisions – even as a group of four," Romeike emphasises. A replacement for the now vacant position of board member will be elected at the delegates' assembly in spring 2022.
