At the Holsteiner Verband’s facilities in Elmshorn, everything is already aglow with pre-Christmas splendour and has been prepared so that the highlight of the year can take place over the coming days: the young stallion licensing with the Elite Riding Horse Auction on 11 and 12 December 2025.
Even before the first official parts of the licensing take place on Thursday in a fitting setting, the programme on Wednesday (10 December) features the final presentation of the elite auction candidates, starting at 6 pm. Thanks to the kind support of DERBY Horse Feed, the marketing team is offering complimentary drinks here.
On the very first day, one highlight follows another
Around 50 candidates for licensing will make their first appearance on Thursday, 11 December, from 10.00 am during the inspection on solid ground. This will be followed by the first of two free-jumping sessions. The Elite Riding Horse Auction will then take place in the historic riding hall from 7.00 pm, where 25 talented young horses will change hands. This will be celebrated in style at the auction party afterwards.
Free jumping, celebrations and festivities on Friday
Friday morning begins at 8.30 am with the second free jumping session. From 4.00 pm, the excitement builds with the walk-off rounds, the licensing decision and the emotional highlight of the licensing, the announcement of the 2025 Champion Stallion. The evening concludes with the auction of licensed and unlicensed stallions. Customers, exhibitors and visitors can look forward to a very special atmosphere – including at the licensing party, the grand finale of the weekend.
