The winners of the foal championships in the Pinneberg and Schleswig-Flensburg licensing districts are by Cognac, Chaccothage Blue PS, Zirocco Blue, Daan G. and United Way.
Pinneberg
This year’s Foal Championship for the Pinneberg licensing district took place at Hof Meyer in Tornesch. In the colt category,
the winner was a son of Cognac
out of a Contendro I dam. He was bred by Kirsten Johannsen of Tornesch and represents line 95.
In the filly category, the judges declared a daughter of Chaccothage Blue PS out of Fleur VI by Connor (Stella Hasenkampf, Seestermühle), line 242, as the winner.
The top three foals in each category have qualified for the State Foal Championship in Elmshorn on 15 August. Two further foals were awarded a wildcard to take part in the State Championship. A daughter of Kool Blue out of Operetta by Crack (Wendy Davis Gerrish, Weatherford, USA) and a son of United Way out of a Numero Uno dam (Timur Leckebusch, Lossburg).
Schleswig-Flensburg
At the foal championship of the Schleswig-Flensburg licensing district, held as part of the Springflut Festival in Hörup, a colt by Zirocco Blue out of a Casall dam (Frank Jessen, Hörup), line 4025, took the top spot in the colt class.
There were two winners in the filly class. The victorious dressage-oriented filly was a daughter of Daan G. out of F-Quaterlou by Quaterback (Heike Pasternak, Oersberg), line 456. A daughter of United Way out of Naomi CM by Comme il faut NRW (Ute Carstensen-Moeller, Langstedt), line 5118, was singled out by the judges as the show-jumping-oriented winner.
The top three foals have qualified for the State Championships.
