At the second field inspection for mares on 10 May in Elmshorn, 26 mares were presented to the judges: 18 Holsteiner mares, three Trakehner mares and five mares registered with the SH/HH Stud Book.
Eleven Holstein mares achieved an overall score of 8.0 or higher. The day’s highest mark, 9.04, was awarded to a daughter of Zinedine out of a Leovisto dam. Carsten Lauck from Pinneberg is the breeder responsible for the mare, who achieved only partial marks of 8.0 or higher. The judges also awarded a 10.0 for the free jumping (supervised by Hermann Blohm).
Michael Gonell and Tanja Konopka judged the free jumping, whilst Peter Olsson and Camilla Kohtz assessed the basic gaits. Finja Tüchsen and Harm David acted as guest riders.
