The FN’s breeding season began with a three-day aptitude test for young stallions in Vechta. Nineteen stallions with a focus on show jumping and 29 with a focus on dressage were assessed by the judging panel, including several Holsteiners.

“Even after the free jumping on the first day of the test, it was clear that the field of show jumping-oriented stallions was of a very high standard. In the end, 13 of the 19 stallions achieved a final score of 8.0 or higher; all appeared to meet the set requirements well and with confidence,” according to the German Equestrian Federation (FN).

The commission awarded the highest jumping aptitude score (9.2) in this round to Casotoki, a son of Casolo and Catoki. The stallion, bred by Tjark Witt, achieved the third-best overall score (8.64).
