This year marks the 70th edition of the European Eventing Championships. The inaugural event was held in Badminton, Great Britain, in 1953. Most recently, in 2021, the championships took place in Avenches (SUI) – a fitting venue – where JL Dublin, a son of Diarado and Canto, and his rider at the time, Nicola Wilson, secured double gold for the British team. Incidentally, three of the six horses nominated for the German team this year are registered in Holstein.
