The opportunity to obtain the qualification for self-contained herd insemination for horses right here in Holstein was once again very well received in January.

In now three training courses, a total of over 40 breeders have deepened their knowledge of breeding and mare management, insemination and stallion selection, and received their certificate after passing the examination by the Ministry of Agriculture. In the upcoming season, they will now be able to act in their own herds side by side with veterinarians and carry out individual inseminations themselves.

Many thanks once again to all participants from Station Hoffeld, Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH in Elmshorn, and MLLEV in Kiel.  

New offers will be introduced in autumn/winter 2025. Until then, the ZSF wishes all Holsteiner breeders a happy and successful breeding season.
