He was sold at the Holsteiner Auction in 2014 and has now galloped to victory in the CCI4*-L in Strzegom, Poland. Vitali by Contender-Heraldik xx (Günther Fielmann, Schierensee), line 3317, once again brought a smile to the face of his New Zealand rider, Tim Price, this weekend. He is by the State Premium mare Noble Lady I, who was born at Walter Quast’s stud in Rellingen and later came into the ownership of the Kollmoor Stud. This is also the birthplace of the third-placed horse in this four-star competition, Ceda N.O.P. by Aragorn-Con Air (Martin Prignitz), line 474A, who was ridden by Merel Blom (NED).

In the three-star long-distance test, Rebecca-Juana Gerken from Schleswig-Holstein, who has recently stabled her horses at the Tasdorf Stud near Neumünster, took second place with Fame by Casall-Carrico (Katharina Sonntag, Tremsbüttel), line 18B1, in second place. The pair had already got a taste of championship competition last year at the World Championships for Young Eventing Horses in Le Lion d’Angers (FRA) and put in a very strong performance in Strzegom.

They are among the most successful pairs in cross-country and once again demonstrated their quality in the CCI3*-S: Canjo by Cormint-Contender (Volker Dohm, Ahrensbök), line 18A2, and Hella Jensen won this class, which featured 50 starters, in commanding fashion. Another Holsteiner, Crossborder Radar Love N.O.P. by Diarado-Claudio’s Son (Hindrick Stuevel), line 6786, ridden by Merel Blom, took the bronze medal.

Junior rider Nicholas Goldbeck has found a willing partner in Chintano by Chin Champ-Exorbitant xx (Thomas Gerken, Tremsbüttel), line 18B1. Together, the pair finished as winners of the CCI2*-L event.
