Following the qualifying round on the Saturday of the competition at the International German Championships in Riesenbeck, Clippo by Casall-Lorentin I (Katrin Schmielau, Wesselburenerkoog), number 628B, and Finja Bormann also clinched victory today in the final of the U25 Show Jumping Cup. “He’s simply amazing,” beamed the winner after the competition, having already clinched the title of German Champion this weekend. Only three riders had reached the jump-off, and Bormann, as the last rider to go, kept her nerve, rode a clear round and was faster than Niklas Betz, who eventually finished second.
In the 1.55-metre show jumping class at the CSI3*, Quintino by Quinton-Cracker Jack (Peter Nagel-Tornau, Wangels), line 318D2, and Christian Kukuk took third place. In a 1.45-metre show jumping competition in Omago, Italy, Casper vd Rode Poelhoeve by Casall-Quinar (Klaus Thiedemann, Oesterwurth), line 2542, emerged victorious under Guilia Martinengo Marquet (ITA). He had already won a class at this level last weekend. In Opglabbeek (BEL), Doma Sue by Dollar du Murier-Corrado I (Mario Baumgartner, Sirnach), line 4883, with Jens van Grunsven (NED) in the saddle, took third place in a 1.45-metre competition. Daisy by Connor-Corofino I (Erhard Gottschalk, Burg), line 2543, came fifth with Caroline Devos-Poels (NED) in the saddle.
