The Holsteiner Autumn Event will take place on 25 and 26 October at the association’s grounds in Elmshorn. Admission is free, and spectators can watch a saddle inspection, the sport test organised in cooperation with the German Equestrian Federation (FN), and a short aptitude test for stallions. In addition, highly talented sport horses will be offered for sale at the Elite Riding Horse Auction.
On Friday, 25 October, the day begins at 08:00 with training for the stallions taking part in the performance test. At 11:00, the stallions undergoing saddle inspection will undergo a pavement inspection. This will be followed by free jumping tests for the three-year-old stallions and show jumping tests for the four- and five-year-olds. At 5.30 pm, the presentation of the riding horses for the Elite Auction and the subsequent Holsteiner Evening will round off the first day.
On Saturday morning (26 October), the test with external riders will provide interesting insights for all stallions taking part in the sport test and the short VA. The three-year-olds will kick things off at 08:00, before the older stallions follow. “Interest in the stallion performance tests was once again high among stallion owners,” reports breeding director Stephan Haarhoff. “In previous years, quite a few spectators made their way to Elmshorn to watch the test horses live. We look forward to welcoming anyone interested once again.” At 5.00 pm, the licensing decisions will be announced, and at 6.00 pm the first auction horse will enter the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle. The evening get-together will ensure that the social side of the weekend is not neglected.
The collection of auction horses will be published shortly at www.holsteiner.auction. On Monday 30 September, the horses will move into their stables in Elmshorn. Their first presentation will then take place on Monday 7 October at 6.00 pm in Elmshorn. This – like the entire autumn event – will be broadcast live on ClipMyHorse.tv.
