Ridden by Kevin McNab (Australia), the former auction riding horse (2018 Neumünster elite riding horse auction) Cute Girl by Coventry-Clearway (Hobe Magens, Ottenbüttel), secured the world championship title for seven-year-old eventing horses in Le Lion d’Angers (France). The grey mare had already taken the lead after the dressage phase and added no further penalty points to her 26.9 score from that phase. At Saturday's elite riding horse auction, catalog number 137, Quintus by Quibery-Limbus, a close relative of Cute Girl, is available for purchase: Quintus shares the same granddam as Cute Girl and already boasts successes in 1.10 m classes. Cute Girl was discovered by Francesca Pollara. For the Italian based in Great Britain, 2021 will remain in the best of memories, as she had also discovered the double European champion JL Dublin by Diarado-Canto (Volker Göttsche-Götze, Groß Buchwald/Nicola Wilson) and the CCIO Aachen runner-up Dacapo by Diarado-Canturo (ZG Bock, Schülp/Laura Collett) in Neumünster.
Holsteiner victories in Italy and the USA
In the CCI3*-S in Montelibretti (Italy), there was a Holsteiner victory achieved by Fortune III by For Fashion-Arystokrat (Dr Klaus Gumpert, Grevenkop), ridden by Pietro Grandis (Italy). Connecticut by Contender-Calgary (Ingo Kardel, Kollmar) placed seventh under Hungary's Gloria Soha.
Another Holsteiner victory is reported from the USA: Lady Chatterley by Connor-Mytens xx (Nina Tassemeier, Itzehoe) won the CCI4*-S in Sarasota-Myakka under Leslie Law (Great Britain). Campari FFF (AHHA) by Camiros-Ariadus (Karen Reid, Fox Land) finished fourth under Marc Grandia.
In Lexington (USA), Clueso by Clarimo-Carentano (Karl Maulhardt, Bodenrode) placed sixth in the CCI3*-S under Phillip Dutton (USA).
