Warendorf’s highlight of the year got underway today with the final qualifiers for riding horses and six-year-old dressage horses, as well as the first qualifiers for five- and seven-year-old show jumpers. Holsteiners stood out with top placings in both disciplines.
In the six-year-old dressage horses, Quiraz ABN by Quaterback-Carpaccio (Anja Nygaard), line 2290, and Markus von Holdt, who secured an excellent second place in the first division with a final score of 8.7 (9/9/8/8.5/9). Quiraz came into the ownership of Niclas von Holdt in 2015 via the Holsteiner auction of licensed stallions and has already been crowned runner-up in the state championships this season.
In the competition for seven-year-olds, Greece by Mylord Carthago-Quinar (Margit Petersen, Sollwittfeld), line 3401, was the best horse with Holsteiner branding. The mare was presented by Teike Carstensen and finished in seventh place.
In the first class for five-year-olds, the Warendorf jury placed two Holsteiner stallions in fourth and fifth place: Fourth place went to Coquetto del Pierre by Cornet Obolensky-Casquetto (Witt Pferdezucht GbR, Wellinghusen), line 2067, ridden by Hannes Ahlmann and awarded a score of 8.8. Association stallion Keaton by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wöhrden), line 4847, ridden by Massimo Bonomi, took fifth place in the first section of the field of 65 pairs with a score of 8.7.

Sixth place: Cooper by Cash and Carry-Aljano (Gerd Carstensen, Hörup), line 4025, and Teike Carstensen, score 8.6
Second division
Fifth place: Diamant de Casall by Diamant de Semilly out of Caretino (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), line 890, and Philipp Winkelhaus, score 8.7
Eighth place: Booster by Barcley out of Quinar (Margit Petersen, Sollwittfeld), and Teike Carstensen, score 8.5
Tenth place: Limbo P by Amber–Cormint (Dieter Pingel, Altenmoor), line 2428, and Philip Hartmann, score 8.4
