Holstein horses won seven more medals on the final day of this year’s Bundeschampionat, after Greece by Mylord Carthago-Quinar (Margit Petersen, Sollwittfeld), line 3401, and Teike Carstensen had already secured the silver medal in the seven-year-old show jumpers on Saturday: Lillet and Duplexx took gold and silver in the five-year-old cross-country class. Clearsky and Rockett galloped to silver and bronze in the six-year-old cross-country class. Diamant de Casall took bronze in the five-year-old show jumping class. Crack is the new National Champion among the six-year-old show jumpers, with bronze in this class going to Cashtender.

Five-year-old cross-country horses
From the Holsteiner Elite Auction to the title of National Champion – that is how Lillet’s success story so far could be described. At the end of 2020, the mare by Livello-Calido I (Morena Petersen, Ahrenviöl), line 776, to Andreas Dibowski via the Holsteiner Elite Riding Horse Auction; she has now claimed victory in the five-year-old eventing horses category at the National Championships. She had already won the final qualifier in commanding fashion with a dream score of 9.2 and remained consistently confident throughout the individual tests of the combined classification, ensuring that the title was hers for the taking. Silver also went to a Holsteiner: Duplexx by Diarado-Heraldik xx (Hans Peter Petersen, Tating), line 3317, ridden by Jan Matthias, galloped to second place.

Also securing places in the final were Danger by Dinken-Caretino (Harald Andresen, Behrendorf), line 4779, presented by Sven Lux, in eighth place, and Juna R by Colman-Caretino (Peter Rehder, Krumstedt), line 4965, ridden by Antonia Baumgart, in eleventh place.

Six-year-old cross-country horses
Louise Romeike celebrated a fantastic training success with the six-year-olds tipped for a great cross-country career: Riding Clearsky by Clearway-Corrado I (Cristina Trauffer, Brienz), line 4, she won the silver medal, and with Rockett by Rock Forever-Mighty Magic (Burkhard Schwarz, Nahe), line 2599, she took bronze. Rockett was once owned by Holsteiner Verband Vermarktungs und Auktions GmbH before coming to the Romeike family. With IcyTonic, the newly crowned Olympic champion Julia Krajewski has a promising young prospect in her stable. The son of Ibisco xx-Cristo (Udo Wagner, Angermünde), line 242, finished seventh in the overall standings.

Five-year-old show jumpers
His consistently strong performances throughout the qualifiers carried through to the final, meaning that Diamant de Casall, ridden by Philipp Winkelhaus, was awarded the bronze medal in the five-year-old class today. The representative of line 890 by Diamant de Semilly-Caretino was born at Manfred von Allwörden’s stud in Grönwohld. Keaton by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wöhrden), line 4847, and Massimo Bonomi took sixth place.

Six-year-old show jumper
Crack is National Champion! In a thrilling jump-off, his new rider Richard Vogel demonstrated his composure, whilst the impressive grey by Cornet Obolensky-Candillo (Campos Cria de Caballos de Deporte), line 1020, once again proved his class and attitude. Crack has thus secured gold at national level in the six-year-old class, following his title at the regional championships. And there was yet another medal for a Holsteiner in this class: Cashtender by Casall-Contender (Lvp-Stables, Ghent), line 6879, took bronze with Frederic Tillmann in the saddle.
