Day five in Warendorf: Today’s programme included, amongst other things, the second qualifying round for six-year-old show jumpers. Two Holsteiners took silver in this round: One was Cassy by Cicero Z-Contender (Elmar Teves) with David Will (8.7), and the other was La Calina by Cannavaru-Caretino (Hans Hermann-Gericke) with Sophie Hinners (8.7).

Seven-year-old show jumpers
In an S**-class show jumping competition (1.45 metres) with a jump-off, the seven-year-old show jumpers determined their champions amongst themselves. The bronze went to a Holsteiner: Davis by Diarado-Casall (Timm Peters) and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson had already finished fifth in the qualifier and went on to take third place in the final.

Six-year-old eventing horses
Ahead of the final cross-country test on Sunday, Casanova, a son of Cascadello I and Contender,(Reimer Detlef Hennings) had taken the lead after the dressage (8.4) and show jumping (8.6) rounds in the National Championships for five-year-old eventing horses. So, for Casanova and Ben Leuwer, the action continues on Sunday (8 September) at 11.00 am in the cross-country final.
