Belo Horizonte, a son of Baloubet du Rouet and Clearway, bred by Frank Plock of Borken (line 776), and Darragh Kenny (IRL) have added another 1.45-metre victory to their list of successes. At the CSI4* in Wellington, USA, they crossed the finish line as the fastest pair. Incidentally, Darragh Kenny has recently added another highly successful Holsteiner to his stable: GK Casper by Canto-Quantum (Manfred Kummetz, Lübeck), line 4510, had previously competed internationally under Betram Allen (IRL), winning the Grand Prix events in Toronto and Wellington (1.55 metres), and recently switched to Allen’s Irish colleague Kenny. In Wellington, the pair placed straight away in a 1.35-metre training round. Second place in the 1.45-metre jumping competition went to Austria by Casall-Corrado I (Heide M. Kriegler, Sigless), line 4564, another horse with Holsteiner pedigree – ridden by her regular rider Kent Farrington (USA). La Caramba by Carambole–Caretino (Bettina v. Borstel, Marne), line 18A2, and Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) took seventh place, whilst Deauville by Diamant de Semilly–Lux Z (Julius-Peter Sinnack, Bocholt), line 4025, and Tanner Korotkin (USA) came tenth.

Having already won a difficult show jumping competition on the Saturday of the event with Cassila by Cassilano–Cor de la Bryère (Klaus Hermann Asmus, Kollmar), line 8863, ridden by Alexander Liebe, had already won a tough jumping competition at the Nordic Jumping Events in Negernbötel on the Saturday of the event, another Holsteiner mare jumped to victory in a 1.40-metre competition on Sunday: In the S* show jumping with jump-off, Nayla by Nerrado-Cormint (Dieter Pingel, Altenmoor), line 2428, and Jesse Luther were the fastest without any faults.
