The Thiedemann family has bid farewell to their mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Anneliese. The widow of Fritz Thiedemann passed away on 4 November. For many years, she accompanied her husband to show jumping competitions all over the world. She was very popular among the riders and maintained friendly relations with Ruth Klimke, Breido Graf zu Rantzau, and the Kasselmann family, among others. She was always a welcome guest at the Holsteiner Verband licensing events—even after her husband's death. Anneliese Thiedemann regularly attended the celebrations for the presentation of the Meteor Prize.
Anneliese and Fritz Thiedemann lived for about ten years with their three children in Elmshorn on the premises of the Holsteiner Verband, where the memorial service in honor of Fritz Thiedemann also took place in January 2000. Now Anneliese Thiedemann has also passed away at the age of 96. The memorial service took place in the closest family circle.
