The stallion Acodetto I by Acorado I out of Louvre II by Contender has passed away, as announced by the Maas J. Hell stud station.

Born in 2001 at the breeding partnership of Dirk and Carmen Oldekop from line 2543, Acodetto leaves behind seven licensed sons and a remarkable series of successful sport horses. These include numerous horses successful up to S-level, as well as progeny based abroad that excel at levels from 1.55 metres upwards. For example, Lazzaro delle Schiave, who has been successful at five-star level with Ireland's Cian O’Connor and currently with the Belgian rider Tom Wachman. Furthermore, the Nations Cup horse Anna Jo (Paris Sellon, USA) and the stallion Andretti BH (Mimi Gochman, USA), who is successful at 1.60m level.

"Acodetto was an intelligent horse with a unique and strong character whom we would gladly have kept with us for many years," announced the Maas J. Hell station. "A severe internal illness of the stallion has also set veterinary limits on this wish. The focus must always be on the well-being and quality of life of the horse. We miss our spirited Acodetto of many years, for he has been a special horse throughout his life."
