After two years without a state competition, the Holsteiner young breeders are gradually returning to normality. On 7 and 8 May, the Stormarn-Lauenburg Young Breeders Club is hosting the competition at the Holsteiner Verband facility. Elmshorn is indeed located in the Pinneberg district, but the association grounds offer ideal opportunities to carry out the event in compliance with corona regulations. This year there will not yet be overnight accommodation, otherwise the state competition will hopefully run in the usual format: theory on Saturday morning, followed by conformation and free-jumping evaluation, in the afternoon showmanship for age group 1, and on Sunday showmanship for age groups 2/3. The grand prize-giving ceremony will take place in the afternoon. The most successful participants can take part in selection training days in May and Juni for the World Championship (Netherlands) and the federal competition (Münster-Handorf). The schedule, timetable and all important information on the proceedings can be found on the website (holsteiner-jungzuechter.de) and on Facebook.
